Food community slow is healthy

Local ingredients are the superstars

Find out my story

I was 30 years old. My lifestyle was quite a mess, my food habits were unhealthy, and I threw too much cash on the window without getting anything in return—just random food made by random people from random supermarkets where I live.

Values that guide me

Sustainability

Eating what nature provides near you is not hype, it’s a great option for a better life. We have plenty of ingredients that can be mixed and matched in delicious dishes.

Collaboration

We work together to offer a healthier food alternative to people in our community. We help each other grow collectively in multiple areas, and the rest will follow.

Transparency

Good food is simple and it comes with no hidden costs, no surprises, no regrets. Our producers are small businesses that embrace a viable and trustworthy way of working.

We go the extra mile every time we can

Create

We focus on nurturing relationships with our network of local producers and search for new partners to join our growing community.

Grow

We help food producers not only by selling their tasty ingredients on the market but also by offering know-how around business-related topics.

Educate

Every summer, we run free educational workshops for kids to discover local ingredients and how they turn them into delicious food.

Words of love from community

Thoughts that keep our wheels spinning

Dan

artisanal cheese fanatic

Before meeting Jasmine, we were messily doing things. It was hard to make predictions, to know if the next month we have enough money to pay our workers, to reach the customers we thought is a match.
Once she kicked off Duo and took these responsibilities off our shoulders, we became laser-focused on our products. We made them better but also extended our list of food gems.

Emma

mom who cooks daily

We’re a family of four: me, Roger, my husband, Mike (4 years), and Alice (2 years), our toddlers. When Mike and Alice arrived in our lives, everything changed, including how we started to behave around what we’re eating daily.
I noticed a print about the Duo Community at my favorite coffee shop. The rest is history. We’re among the first five families that came aboard and never left.

Robert

curious kid

I attended a summer workshop because my dad made encouraged me to leave the tablet and socialize. I thought it’s going to spend a few hours among children I have nothing in common with. It was the complete opposite. I was blown away by how little I knew concerning how certain ingredients look and taste like. I already let my friends know that this is something we need to do together because it is so fun.
