Hel\u00adlo, world! I\u2019m Julia, pho\u00adtog\u00adra\u00adph\u00ader by day, food blog\u00adger by night. Orig\u00adi\u00adnal\u00adly from Hills\u00adboro, Ore\u00adgon, I moved to Los Ange\u00adles when I was 18 to study film pro\u00adduc\u00adtion at Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty. Why leave such a beau\u00adti\u00adful state for such a met\u00adro\u00adpol\u00adi\u00adtan city, you ask? Why the Mex\u00adi\u00adcan food, of course. Also, the urban sprawl would be love\u00adly to have around since I do appre\u00adci\u00adate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the spring 2014 I moved back to Ore\u00adgon to take a baby step towards my giant, sweep\u00ading dream. In my ide\u00adal life, I\u2019d live on a big ranch out in the Ore\u00adgon coun\u00adtry\u00adside, free\u00adlanc\u00ading as a pho\u00adtog\u00adra\u00adph\u00ader and cook\u00adbook author. I\u2019d have a Jer\u00adsey cow, named Hen\u00adri\u00adet\u00adta and also have a calf that I would name it Baby.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019d have a gar\u00adden filled with flow\u00aders and heir\u00adloom fruits and veg\u00adeta\u00adbles, along with a spe\u00adcial plot ded\u00adi\u00adcat\u00aded to the plants whose seeds I received from my par\u00adents, who have been care\u00adful\u00adly select\u00ading, har\u00advest\u00ading and dry\u00ading only the most prized seeds from their immense gar\u00adden for the past 30 years, and those plants would make the oth\u00ader plants look bad if they were all up on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There would also be olive trees, too. The cold Ore\u00adgon win\u00adter would most like\u00adly destroy them, but I would plant them any\u00adway on the off chance that they would sur\u00advive. My Greek side won\u2019t let me lis\u00adten to things like rea\u00adson. And this is my dream, after all.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
